Jim McCumber has become synonymous with Nelsonville-York athletics in his role as a broadcaster. For nearly 40 years, he has broadcasted football, volleyball and basketball games for Nelsonville-York’s athletes so that they and their families may be able to watch on Nelsonville TV Cable.
Jim was honored by the Nelsonville-York School Board with the Community Service Award in 2011 for what was then 30 years of service. Additionally, he is one of only a few to be nominated twice for the Ohio High School Athletic Association’s Integrity and Ethics in Broadcasting Award.
